what’s iin a name?
I’ve always enjoyed names, nick-names, a nome de plume et cetera. What I call myself or an other often is connected to how I’m feeling. You now how it is when you whisper sweet nothings and call your love by a pet name or when you are angered by a (insert nasty name here). There always seems to be emotion and feeling tied to names. And, often a sense of power or powerlessness.
So, now we are in the 2010 and I’ve been toying with a new name for my on-line presence. I like Drew but it just doesn’t seem to fit. Beowulf too I’m very fond of but it has be used by another unrelated to me Thorn. Hmm, it’s still a favorite of mine and in the running. Something that makes me feel good when I see it. Something that sounds like the image I have of (ideal) myself. Here’s my short list (in no particular order):
declan: like the sound, it’s of irish origin but has no specific meaning that is known; numerology = 3, The Three Person: Fun loving, Nuturing, Social, Patient
drake: the compliment to my Ducky, also means dragon (cool);numerology = 3, The Three Person: Fun loving, Nuturing, Social, Patient
conor: means wolf or hound lover (appropriate), of irish origin, numerology = 2,The Two Person: Cooperative, Mediator, Balanced, Gregarious
beowulf: from the Old English, possibly meaning bee-wolf. Also hero of the 8th century epic poem of the same name, numerology = 3, The Three Person: Fun loving, Nuturing, Social, Patient
It seems that I am drawn to wolves and names that add up to the numerological 3. Interesting.
Joined a gym
I went to world gym and joined up today. I got the membership that includes access to Planet Fitness. This way I can go to the gym near work or near home.
I feel good about this. It is forward momentum.
Welcome September
Well, it’s still 3 weeks till we turn the wheel but I’m getting an early start. Change is afoot and I am not excepted.
One change I will be working on:
moving from 5′41/2 tall, 213 lbs. with a 47″ bust and a 38″ waist 
to 5′41/2″ tall, roughly 140-150 lbs with a 39″ bust and a 29″ waist
I’m thinking it will take me 8 to 12 months of pretty consistant life changing habits.
